Today started off pretty badly. I still don't understand calculus, despite somehow making a 93 on our latest test (with a 15 point curve). My English test was terrible - I only knew two of the questions out of twelve that we had to choose five from. I made up stuff so maybe I'll get partial credit, but I'm 99.99% sure I got an F on that test. Spanish was just boring.
I wasn't entirely excited about the day in general at this point, but everyone else was excited to go to Subway for off campus lunch. I didn't really want Subway anymore, but figured it'd all be okay. Nadia and I got our lunch passes 40 minutes early and essentially rushed everyone into getting to the car as fast as possible - this probably saved our asses, too. We (literally) all ran down to the parking lot and had a mild crisis over who was riding with whom before zipping out of the parking lot and speeding to the street it was on. Most of us - the ones who didn't know where Subway was - were expecting it to be pretty close, because we'd had a discussion about how far away the two nearest Subways were and which we were going to. It took fifteen minutes of driving down a parkway just to get there. With our 45 minute lunch break, we couldn't really afford to spend thirty minutes driving back and forth. Irritated, we pull into Subway, jump out, and practically run into the place.
And there's a line. A huge line of at least twelve people, one of which is running back and forth from the counter to the parking lot to ask his girlfriend what kind of cheese she wants on her sub. After waiting in line for all of four seconds, we all decide to go tell Katie - who drove herself - that we have to go somewhere else. Nadia and I seriously consider running into the sketchy pub next door before everyone else freaks out and we realize that it's closed. Someone makes decides that we're going to the McDonalds a block away so we jump back in the car to head through the drive thru. After I almost get in a car wreck by making a probably illegal turn, we zip into the drive thru after Katie.
This is where it gets complicated. We've avoided drive thrus because there are so many of us and we're all paying separately. But we don't really have a choice today - we simply don't have a lot of time. Katie takes about five seconds to get her order through, and I'm frantically trying to get everyone's order while Nadia's frantically trying to collect money. The recording about iced lattes plays and I say, "No, thank you," despite knowing that the person ready to take my order hasn't asked me anything yet. Suddenly, Vedanti realizes that she can't really eat anything because she's a vegetarian, and McDonalds is like meat and bread, no matter what you order.
"Um, can I get 4 chicken nugget mighty kids meals?" I ask the guy on the other end once he welcomes us to McDonalds and all that jazz, while the back seat discusses Vedanti's food order. Things are going smoothly so far, so I feel slightly more confident. M.E. and Whitney demand sweet and sour sauce so I ask for some - twice. We're trying to rush so I quickly ask the car what drinks they want as we neglected to discuss that part. After determining that Nadia and I want Dr. Pepper, Whitney wants Sprite, and M.E. wants apple juice, we order those without any issues. Then I venture onto the vegetarian burger, which we've decided Vedanti is getting.
Unsure if the order will translate well, I ask, "Can I also get a cheeseburger mighty kids meal without the meat?"
The guy taking our order punches in a regular hamburger. "Is that all?"
"No, we need a CHEESEburger without the meat."
I've confused him now and I go about trying to explain it without confusing him further. After about two minutes of rewording the order and unintentionally raising my voice as I get more frantic about how much time we have left, my phone starts ringing. I throw it in the backseat, asking someone to answer it and talk to her. M.E. answers it, and I go back to negotiating with the guy. After a few more seconds, Nadia yells, "We need a cheeseburger, hold the meat, everything else on it!"
He FINALLY gets the picture and punches in "1 CHEESEBURGER - NO RG MEAT," and we all sigh with relief. We realize we haven't gotten Vedanti a drink yet, and irritated with how long this has taken, I yell, "We need one more small sprite too!"
For some reason, that translates as a Coke. We argue about this for a while before Nadia yells, "SPRITE."
He's gotten everything and reads everything off as we're sitting there waiting. We're all getting pretty impatient, and Katie's parked to wait for us to get through, probably wondering what the HELL is going on. He's getting to the part where he tells us how much it'll cost, but there are people behind me and I'm annoyed, so I just say loudly, "Okay, thanks, we're pulling up to the window now, bye!"
We pay, but he gives us a dollar back because in all the commotion, we've apparently given him too much money. That or he just doesn't want to have to give us 3 cent change and just takes the 97 cents off the charge. I apologize to him over the loud car, and he smiles like he's laughing at us and says that it's okay, but I'm sure he hates his job more than he already did now. We pull up to the second window to get our food and - THANK GOD - the meals are ready just as we get there. I throw the four kids meals into Nadia's lap and the sack with the burger in it back to Vedanti; the guy working there hands me the drinks in a drink holder thing and I am so eternally grateful for how efficient and ready he was. He closes the window and ready to drive off, I ask everyone if we got everything before realizing we only have four drinks for five people.
"My apple juice!" M.E. exclaims loudly, just as he opens the window again to hand a juice box out. I literally chuck it in the backseat, thank him quickly, and speed away as Katie's backing out of her parking spot. Everything seems to be going good after all. Then M.E. realizes that there isn't any sweet and sour sauce and Vedanti realizes they put meat on their burger after we yelled at the guy for at least five minutes.
At this point, M.E. eats Vedanti's meat patty and Nadia feeds me french fries and holds my drink for me while I speed back to school with just about 20 minutes to spare. We got back to class on time and with cute cheap stuffed toys to show for our adventure. :)

"Hilighters are Shoes, Silly!
Listening to: With Me Tonight by The Used
What I Should Be Doing: Working on Driver's Ed or my multiple school projects
I'm Also: Talking to ANNNNNA! and updating Facebook and TRYING to post a video on YouTube and being mad at the Honda Civic Tour manager people.
About the Honda Civic Tour:
"The tour starts on April 10, 2008 in San Francisco, CA, but start planning your musical rendezvous ASAP."
Okay, seriously, they want us to plan our "musical rendezvous ASAP" but they don't have tour dates yet. So how do we plan without tour dates...? WE CAN'T. DUH. Sorry. =)
Anyway. Uh. I think that's all I wanted to say. Yes.
No.
Today, we went and saw Brent. [A.K.A. M.E. and I went to order Cobra Starship's first CD for Anna/buy Boys Night Out's self-titled album.] And M.E. brought this huge leaf with her when she met me at my house because it landed at her feet. So I carried it all the way to the CD store, then to Smoothie King [so M.E. could get her joint and tissue repair fix], then to McDonalds [to get an ice cream cone for me], and then home. And it's on my wall now. But anyway, she was all "Isn't this leaf huge? It fell at my feet so I picked it up and was all 'dude, it's HUGE.'" And Brent's like "Maybe it means that big rewards will fall at your feet!" or something. Later, we were talking about that and M.E.'s like "Way to be a 'the glass is half full' person, Brent."
And then I started thinking that a lot of people in the music industry are "the glass is half empty" people. So. Yeah.
Uh. I'm tired. :)
Today, I met the mom of a guy in a band opening for a local band that I kinda like. I was all "They're opening for them!? AWESOME." But I don't like the band enough to go to their show and I'm lazy. And, yeah.
YouTube's mean.
I don't like getting compliments. At all. I don't want people saying, "You're so pretty!" or "I can see you doing great things!" or "That video's so amazing!" or "Those lyrics are hilarious!"
Hunter's in my room, lying on my bed near my feet, listening to my iPod. And I'm listening to iTunes on my laptop and typing this while he randomly tells me things about venues and bands and "stoner songs" and stuff.
Now my five year old cousin's in year writing on my wall and asking me about how I built one of my science projects. He's cute. =) Though sometimes I don't wanna hang out with him, 'cause I like being alone more than like anything else. I think. I mean, I love my friends and I love throwing parties for my friends [I think I get that from my mom] but I don't like talking to people I don't know very well and a good portion of the time, I don't wanna talk to anyone at all. I don't know, it's weird.

I'd much rather throw a party for one of my buddies than throw a party for myself, which is weird. I tend to dislike my own birthday parties, unless somebody else throws them. I don't want to have a sixteenth birthday party. I'll take seeing Panic! [I REFUSE TO DROP THE EXCLAMATION POINT NO MATTER WHAT THEY SAY.] on the Honda Civic Tour as a birthday party. xD
Hunter left.
It freaks me out how many of my family members/my parents' friends watch my videos. Seriously.
I've been biting my tongue a ton when I chew gum lately. It's weird.

MIKE, GET A HAIRCUT!
Listening to: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c10hyBKqpo4
What I Should Be Doing: SLEEPING.
Uh. I have problems. I've been watching TAI videos for like forever. Seriously, it's been like three hours. The Butcher is my hero. Anyway, I get to see them live in like two weeks. Should be amazingly awesome. I hope. Maybe. I love them and I've already seen 'em live twice when they opened for other bands, but now that they're headlining, I'm hoping it'll be even better.
Anyway. We had a ton of homework but like none of it is due tomorrow. So I left off almost all of it, which was STUPID. But oh well. I have an AP World History test tomorrow. I said there was gonna be one like last week, but I lied. xD [The teacher moved the test.]
I dunno. There's all kind of stupid stuff happening with my friends and my parents and my sisters right now, so today kinda stunk. But yesterday was awesome. xD I dressed up like an "emo" and M.E. and I scootered down to the music store. We scared people on the street and ordered some CDs and scared the guy [I think] and then we went to Smoothie King and they had better stickers than the music store... And then we went to McDonald's 'cause I didn't want a smoothie [I tasted M.E.'s and it was GROSS.] and I got a McFlurry and then we went home. =)
I have to go pick up both our CDs next Thursday and order one for my friend, who's going to the concert with me next week. We're gonna walk down to the music store before the concert.
By the way. Mike Carden now reminds me of a kid in my Latin class and egg ho's. Don't ask. xD
I'm in love with Santi at the moment.

Eating Four Chicken Nuggets Takes Me Like Two Minutes
Listening to: my fan moving the plastic bag on my bed.
I post on this too much. Anyway. I realized I was broke last night and complained to my parents, who gave me the job of picking up dog poop in the backyard for $30. Fortunately, I didn't end up doing that. xP My sister's having a 'back to school' party/barbecue tonight and our house was like insanely dirty, so I decided to help my mom for cash. Which is kinda neat, 'cause I woulda helped even if she didn't pay me. Even though she hasn't yet.
Anyway. I just cleaned off the lawn chairs, helped set up the tables and tablecloths, cleaned the windows/doors, blew up balloons and tied strings to them for a game, helped set up a few games, swept the patio, put the beer, soda, and water into coolers, lit the candles, and set out the food. It took like 3 hours to do all that, but that's okay. xD Her party starts in like five minutes. =P
I took a "lunch break" with my brother and walked down to the CD store near my house and guess what! They didn't have any of the CDs, either, but they're gonna have the Powerspace CD and the This Providence CD in on Monday after 4, so I'm pretty happy. I also ordered the old Just Surrender CD, If These Streets Could Talk and I'm excited. :D I have to go pick it up/pay for it after 4 on Monday, but hey, that's cool. I can get all 3 CDs then if I want. *dance* Then we went to McDonalds and ate lunch. xD
So today was pretty amazing, even though it's like 100 degrees outside with the humidity and I didn't actually buy any of my CDs and I worked for like 3 hours outside in the heat. But hey. I'm pretty dang happy.
For the next few hours, I'm gonna hide in my room while the kids are running around the house. :D And maybe sneak for some food, 'cause I'm hungry. xP
My friends and I are having a 'back-to-school' party tomorrow and we're making T-shirts, which is gonna be awesome. Iron-on transfer junk, I think. It'll be cool. =)

Borders Hates Me
Listening to: Hey Brittany by Forever the Sickest Kids
Okay, so we went to eat dinner at a restaurant close to Borders. And I beg my parents to let me go over after I finish my food so they let me and my step-brother go basically across the street. Anyways. I go into Borders and I see two people I really dislike in there. And my brother sees the same people and is like "MY FRIENDS!" so I make a puke-face and he goes over to talk to them. And ditches me to look for my CDs.
So, I'm looking under P for Powerspace. I found two Powerman 5000 CDs, but that's it. No Powerspace. I'm like "Eh, I'll just go look for This Providence then." So first, I look under P, thinking maybe they'd have it under there. Nothing. So I figure, eh, it'll probably be under T, then. So I walk over to the other aisle, thinking half about how much I dislike the kids and half about how I forgot what the third CD was. After getting confused by the 'The ...' bands, I finally find T. Nothing. I finally remember the third CD and go to J.
This time they actually have a CD by the band. There's one CD by Just Surrender. But it's not the CD I want. It's the new CD. Hey, I know they don't always have the older CDs, but man, they have the old The Academy Is... CD! I probably just should have but We're In Like Sin, but I didn't wanna buy a CD I'd never heard songs off of. Heh. :P
So I'm home. With 0 CDs. But I'm making my brother take me to the CD store by McDonald's tomorrow to see if they have any of the CDs there.
Yeah. But I bought the concert tickets to go see The Academy Is... in October, so I'm pretty happy. =)
